2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry, demonstration or support form, we receive the details you choose to send, including your name, email address, website, enquiry type and message. Support requests may include plugin version and operating mode.
When you make a booking through Bagoom, the booking service processes the details required to arrange, confirm, reschedule or cancel the meeting. Booking information may be processed in its database, email system and any calendar integration configured for the appointment.
Our web server and security systems can process IP addresses, request URLs, browser and device information, timestamps, security events and suspicious traffic patterns for administration, abuse prevention and investigation.
3. Qualified visitor statistics
The small counter at the bottom of marketing pages counts a pseudonymous browser only after at least 30 seconds of visible page activity. It uses browser storage to avoid counting the same browser repeatedly. It does not intentionally store raw IP addresses or full page-browsing histories in its visitor-count records. The totals shown are for this week, this month and a rolling six-month period.
4. Cookies and local storage
The enquiry forms use a short-lived session cookie to protect submissions against forgery. The qualified-visitor counter uses local storage, with session storage as a fallback, to distinguish returning browsers. Bagoom may use cookies or session storage needed to run booking and administration features.
Your browser may let you block or clear cookies and local storage, although this can affect forms, bookings or visitor statistics.
5. Why we process information
We use information to respond to enquiries, deliver demonstrations and support, fulfil bookings and licence obligations, maintain the website, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable laws. Where consent is required, we request it; otherwise we rely on the lawful grounds applicable to the purpose, including carrying out a requested service and legitimate security interests.
6. Who may receive information
Information may be received by our designated company inboxes and the providers necessary to operate the site or provide requested services, including hosting, email, payment, calendar and booking providers, as applicable. We do not sell enquiry details to advertisers.
Third-party providers may process information under their own notices. An OpenAI API key supplied by a licence holder is governed by that provider's terms and by the integration configured on the licence holder's site.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the relevant enquiry, booking, licence, support, security or legal purpose and then delete or anonymise it where appropriate. Specific retention periods can vary with the service and applicable requirements.
We use access controls and security safeguards appropriate to the information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may request access to or correction or deletion of your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain to the Information Regulator. Send requests to support@botexorcist.com so we can verify and respond appropriately.
9. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to services or legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page.
